Everything about the dove shooting in Córdoba is unusual: no season, no limit, and more birds than anyone can put a credible number on. The pigeon is the corrective. It is not as abundant as the dove — the source of that is our own ground, not modesty — and it does carry a bag limit.
For a Gun who has spent his life on British stubble, that combination is worth knowing before you arrive. A pigeon afternoon here reads more like a day at home: a limit to work towards, a flightline to read, decoys that matter. It is the part of the week most of our British guests describe afterwards as the shooting they enjoyed most, rather than the shooting that astonished them.
It is offered as an extra afternoon alongside the dove, for 250 US dollars per Gun. Most people add it once they have had a day of the doves and want a change of tempo.

What Guns ask about pigeon
Yes — and it is the one thing that separates pigeon from dove here. The dove has no limit at all; the pigeon does. It is not a demanding limit, and most Guns reach it without much trouble, but it exists, which makes the afternoon feel closer to a day at home than the dove shooting does.
It is booked as an extra afternoon on top of the dove shooting, at 250 US dollars per Gun. Tell us when you book, or tell the coordinator once you are at the lodge — it can usually be arranged on the day if the ground is right.
No. The pigeon here is a South American wild pigeon, not the wood pigeon of a British stubble field. The decoying and the flightlines will feel familiar; the bird will not.
